North Korea Is Humiliated When Man Uses Unique 'Talent' To Escape To Freedom

North Korea isn't the greatest place to live — there's the understatement of the century — but it's not as if citizens can just pack up and move. The totalitarian regime has incredible fortifications and armed guards lining its borders, making it impossible for ordinary people to flee. But North Korean officials never accounted for one not-so-ordinary man. Using very particular skills, he expertly bypassed every security measure in sight. However, our hero soon found that escaping his homeland was only half the battle.

Ready To Go

It started with a single man who wishes to remain anonymous for his own protection. All his life, he wanted to get out of North Korea. And it wasn't until November of 2020, well aware of the extreme risk, that he finally tried to make it happen.

Leap of Faith

The North Korean government erected a wall to keep its people inside. 10 feet. That's what stood between the man and his freedom. The man knew that the many escape attempts that came before him ended in an arrest and sometimes death, but he was destined to try.

Soldier's Watch

The wall wasn't the only thing he had to get through — there was also a treacherous group of soldiers who'd been commanded to attack anyone who tried to cross. It was either freedom or his life. There were a few cases of individuals who managed to survive the harrowing journey.

Previous Successes

In 2017, a disillusioned North Korean soldier hijacked a truck and crashed it through the barriers. It was a miracle that the heavy fire from his comrades didn't kill him. Two years later, another military defector simply managed to sneak across. The bad news was that these instances only made North Korea more vigilant about escape attempts.
